PANEL DISCUSSION: CORPORATE SHARED VALUES

On the 17th of January 2017, the first workshop of the “Crossing the Chasm Challenge workshop series” was conducted. The workshop was conducted as a panel discussion on the topic corporate shared values. The session was moderated by Ms Audrey Tan, Co-Founder of Angels of Impact and PlayMoolah. Speakers Mr Eugene Ho, Head of Corporate Affairs and Senior Executive Team member for SAP Southeast Asia and Ms Roxanne Somboonsiri, Global Brand Manager at Facebook, were invited as guest speakers to share with participants on meaningful and sustainable ways to engage social enterprises.
EMPATHY AND SOCIAL ENTREPRENEURSHIP WORKSHOP

The second workshop centred on the theme of Empathy and Social Entrepreneurship, and was conducted on 16th of February 2017. Associate Director of the Asian Centre of Social Entrepreneurship and Philanthropy, Ms Laina Green opened the session, discussing the significance and importance of empathy. The session proceeded, as guest speaker Associate Professor Albert Teo, Department of Management and Organisation, Business School, National University of Singapore, engaged and shared with participants the essence of social entrepreneurship.
BASIC CONSULTING PROCESS

The third session, held on the 14th of March 2017, offered participants insights into the basics of a consulting process. Dr Jacky Mussry, Deputy CEO of Mark Plus, Inc. discussed with participants, the key processes of marketing consulting, which includes planning, fact gathering, analysis and reporting. Valuable skills, know-hows and tool sets were also presented, which extended to determining project scope (e.g. by developing issues tree), knowing how to collect data to understand the problem (e.g. by developing data framework and data matrix), and learning how to develop the logic to solve the problem.

The fourth and most recent workshop was conducted on the 11th of May. The session was focused on what made for engaging and effective presentation structures and skills. Guest speaker Ms Claire Lim, Regional Director of Social@Ogilvy, discussed and shared with participants insightful knowledge and skills, that pertained to the flair, showmanship and structures of presentations.

The fifth and final workshop prepared the finalists for the final presentation, coached and guided by Prof Albert Teo, Ms Laina Greene and Ms Claire Lim. They were given tips and advice on how to further improve on aspects such as showmanship.
